Day 6: Nairn’s Oat Cookies

To celebrate Thanksgiving, I’m going to post 7 Days of Thankfulness! Since I’m a bit of a foodie, each day will be a food post.

I love these! They are imported from Scotland. They are not American-style, sweet oat cookies. They are a European biscuit that you would serve with tea. The cookies have bits of cranberries and raspberries. There’s also a ginger version, which sounds good. It tastes like  you are eating oatmeal in cookie form! They are not sugary, so more like a healthy oat snack than a cookie. My sister tried them and loved them, too. Because they are made with oat flour, they are wheat-free but not completely gluten-free (oats actually have some gluten). Vegan. No artificial flavors, colors or preservatives (why is American food so full of artificial ingredients, yet in Europe they can make cookies and candies without them?). I buy mine on The company is called Nairn’s.
